Understanding yourself

I know why I do this. Why can't I still stop in the moment? +

Understanding your patterns and being able to change them in real time are two different skills. In moments of stress or emotional flooding, the thinking brain tends to go offline — which is why insight alone rarely changes behaviour when it matters most. KeikoAI is designed specifically for that gap: it helps you in the moment, not just in reflection.

Why do I keep replaying conversations — even days later? +

Replaying conversations is usually your mind trying to resolve something that feels unfinished — often not the specific words, but the emotion underneath them. It tends to happen more when you're tired, stressed, or when something touched a deeper worry. KeikoAI's Guide can help you name what's actually underneath the replay and find a way to settle it, rather than just looping.

I've tried journaling, meditation apps, and therapy. Why would KeikoAI be different? +

Most tools help you build self-understanding — but that's only half the job. KeikoAI is specifically built for the moment when you're in it: overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck. It's not a journal that waits to be written in, or a tracker that collects data without responding to it. It's a companion that meets you where you are right now and helps you respond with more clarity.

Is KeikoAI for me if I'm not in crisis — just quietly struggling? +

Yes — that's exactly who KeikoAI is for. The people who need it most are often the ones who look fine from the outside: high-functioning, self-aware, capable. The struggle is quieter but just as real. KeikoAI is designed for everyday stress, recurring patterns, and the kind of emotional load that doesn't have a dramatic name — just a constant weight.

What's the difference between KeikoAI and a mood tracking app? +

Mood tracking apps stop at collection. KeikoAI reads three signals together — mood, moments, and reflections — then turns weeks of data into trends, personal letters from Keiko, and a context-aware Guide. You're not just logging; you're discovering yourself.

About the app

What is KeikoAI? +

KeikoAI: Discover Yourself is a self-awareness companion app for iOS and Android. The app is built around Keiko — a panda guide — who helps you log your moods, moments, and reflections, then reads all three signals together to surface the patterns you can't see from inside the moment. It's not a therapy replacement or a mood journal. It's a way to finally understand where your reactions come from.

Who is Keiko? +

Keiko is the panda mascot and AI guide at the heart of KeikoAI. Keiko shows up across the app — waving when you open it, writing letters based on your data, and guiding conversations when you need support. The name reflects a Japanese concept of continuous self-improvement through small, deliberate practice.

What are the three signals in KeikoAI? +

KeikoAI tracks three daily signals: Mood (how you're feeling, with 16 options across the emotional spectrum), Moments (small wins and meaningful events your brain would otherwise delete), and Reflections (questions triggered by your own data — not generic prompts). Keiko reads all three together to show trends, write monthly letters, and guide conversations with real context.

Is KeikoAI like journaling? +

Not quite. Journaling captures thoughts — KeikoAI captures signals and reads them for you. A journal is passive; KeikoAI actively surfaces patterns across your moods, moments, and reflections over weeks. You don't need to write paragraphs — two minutes a day is enough for Keiko to start seeing what you can't.

What is the Guide? +

The Guide is KeikoAI's AI conversation feature — a space to talk through something hard when it's happening. It has five modes: Just Stay With Me, Say It, Understand This, Steady This, and Find My Next Step. The Guide starts from your signal history, not a blank slate, so it already knows what's been weighing on you.

What is Reset? +

Reset is for when you need to settle before you can reflect. Sometimes a moment is too loud for insight. Reset offers six modes — Music, Calm, Grounding, Breathwork, Power Nap, and Mini-games — matched to how you feel right now. It creates enough space to choose instead of react.

Do I have to use KeikoAI every day for it to work? +

No. KeikoAI works with however much you can give it. A daily check-in helps build a clearer pattern map over time, but even one difficult-moment check-in is useful. There is no streak-or-fail pressure built into it.

On which devices can I use KeikoAI? +

KeikoAI is available on iOS and Android phones.

Privacy & data

Is my data private and secure? +

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. For AI features, we use Google Gemini via Google Cloud — they are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models.

What data is shared with the AI? +

To provide personalised insights, KeikoAI shares your chat messages, wins, mood logs, and reflections with Google Gemini. This data is used only to generate responses for you and is protected by strict privacy agreements.

Is KeikoAI safe for mental health? +

KeikoAI is a self-reflection and wellness tool, not a replacement for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis or need clinical care, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services immediately.

Billing & account

Do I need a subscription to use KeikoAI? +

Yes — KeikoAI starts with a free trial so you can experience the full app before being charged. After that, KeikoAI is available on weekly, monthly, and yearly plans starting from $2.99/week. KeikoAI Pro includes AI insights, the full Guide experience, and all Reset tools. KeikoAI Light offers core mood and moments tracking at a lower price.

Can I get a refund? +

Refund requests must be submitted through Apple or Google according to their respective store policies.
